The Oak & Aura Retreat
Oak & Aura is a dog-friendly two-bedroom, one-bath apartment for up to four guests in Historic Downtown St. Charles. Warm oak accents, soft textures and light-filled interiors give the apartment its character, with Main Street restaurants, shops and nightlife close by.
Downtown noise
Main Street is an active dining and nightlife district. Music, voices, traffic and community events may be audible inside, including late at night, especially on weekends and event dates. Sound machines are provided, but they do not eliminate outside noise. Guests who need a quiet sleeping environment may prefer a quieter location. Sounds from neighboring apartments and common areas may also be heard.

Kitchenette and laundry
The kitchenette has a portable electric hot plate, essential cookware and a coffee setup for simple meals. There is no built-in range or oven. No in-unit washer or dryer is provided.
Location and arrival
Explore Historic Main Street restaurants, boutiques and seasonal events, or visit the riverfront, Frontier Park and the Katy Trail. During major downtown events, road closures, pedestrian traffic and parking restrictions may affect arrival. Allow extra travel time and follow posted signs and local detours.
House policies
- Dogs only. A $150 non-refundable pet fee is added after booking. Unauthorized pets or policy violations may result in a $300 fee.
- No indoor smoking; a $250 violation fee applies.
- Check-in: 4:00 PM. Check-out: 10:00 AM.
- Reservations longer than 21 days include a $50 long-term cleaning fee.
- A starter supply of toiletries and paper goods is provided. Guests staying longer should plan to replenish supplies.
- Returned lost items incur a $25 handling fee plus shipping.
Early Check-In
Please contact us on the day of your arrival to request an early check-in. Early check-in is subject to availability.
Late Check-Out
Our standard check-out time is 10:00 AM.
Please contact us the day before departure to request a late check-out. Late check-out is subject to availability and the following fees:
Up to 12:00 PM: $75 flat fee.
After 12:00 PM: Additional charges may apply, including the cost of an additional night.
Unapproved Late Check-Out:
Guests who remain at the property beyond the designated check-out time without prior approval may be subject to additional charges, up to the cost of an additional night.
